Qualification : -For Fitter, Machinist & Turner : Passed 10th Class Examination under 10 +2 system of education or its equivalent and also possess National Trade certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.

For Carpenter & Welder : Passed standard VIII and also possess National Trade certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.

For Electrician /Electronics Mechanic : Passed 10th Class Examination under 10 +2 system of education with science as one of the Subjects, or its equivalent and should also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training.

Age Limit : - For Welder, carpenter, painter and upholster Posts : 15 to 20 Years
For Fitter, Electrician and R&AC Posts : 15 to 22 Years.
For Medical Laboratory Technician : 15 to 24 Years. As on 01.10. 2016. (For Fresher Category)
Age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.

Application Fee : - A crossed Indian Postal Order for Rs. 100/- in favour of the Workshop Personnel Officer, Carriage and Wagon Works, Southern Railway, Perambur, Chennai - 600 023 and payable at Chennai.
Sc/ ST/ Women Candidates are exempted from the payment of process Fee.
Selection Process : - Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of percentage of marks in matriculation plus ITI marks and Physical Fitness
